Use It Or Lose It

If you’re a private health fund member and haven’t used your optical allowance, it may reset on June 30.

For anyone unsure of how it works, the process is simple. All health funds are different, but in general members are eligible to make a claim each year on prescription optical frames, prescription sunglasses or contact lenses.

If you don’t claim your rebate, it will not roll over each year. In other words, your benefits are not accumulative — any funds you don't claim will “reset” each year and no longer be available to you.

How to make the most of your optical rebate

If you’re due for an eye test, you can book by clicking here or visit one of our boutiques.

If you already have a prescription, it’s on to the fun part — choosing your frames! Our hand crafted optical and sunglass collections start at just $95, that means you could walk away with a pair of locally designed frames for little to no money at all.

Below is a list of some health funds that reset on July 1st. For additional information, be sure to contact your health care provider.
