Name: Jaz Hodge
Role: Store Manager
Store: Chapel Street in South Yarra, Melbourne
How long have you been with BN: I've been with Bailey Nelson for almost two and a half years. I started when Victoria had just three stores and less than ten team members.
What do you love about Bailey Nelson: I love sharing that excitement with a customer who is picking up their first pair of BN's when I have helped them choose the perfect frame, it suits them to a tee and we know we've nailed it. 👌🏼 What's better is knowing that we are providing quality eyewear for a price that is honest and fair.
Favourite Frame and Why: The Joyce in assorted colours. It's like the chameleon of spectacles, suitable for all occasions. I have three pairs of the Joyce myself.
Most Interesting Patients: I was having dinner with friends at a local restaurant when I spotted one of the staff wearing our Parker frames. "Great frames" I said. He then told me about how many compliments he gets when he wears them and how he was thrilled to have discovered BN. I loved his passion and enthusiasm. Fast forward 2 years and we have become great friends, we catch up almost every week. He's moving to Bali to work at an orphanage where I hope to visit and help him out next year. I've met so many interesting and inspiring people from all over during my time at BN.
Where are you from originally: I grew up in Rotorua, New Zealand, famous for its natural geothermal hot pools. I spend most of my time soaking in the goodness whenever I go back.
Spare time: I like playing old school video games. At the moment I'm trying to reach the final level of Alex the Kidd in Miracle world on my Sega Master System. Not the easiest task when you only have three lives. The struggle is real.
Best Melbourne Bar/Restaurant: Tokyo Tina in Windsor always delivers! I love the hip hop beats they play and their slow cooked beef bao is bangin'
